Q. How do i book a picnic?

A. Visit our website www.picniccharleston.com and fill out the form found on our book now page. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at picniccharleston@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram @picniccharleston.

Once we have received your request one of our staff will reach out to set up a short phone consultation to discuss details, ensure that we are meeting your picnic expectations, and to take your picnic deposit.

 

Q. what is included in my picnic?

A. Your picnic will include a styled table scape for the chosen number of guests for up to two hours, with the option to extend the time if feasible. Other items included are:

Custom welcome sign (optional)

Premium beach umbrella (weather and wind permitting).

Comfy seating for each guest

Cutlery, napkins, plates and glasses

Rugs, pillows and blankets if weather is chilly

Bouquet of seasonal flowers

Seasonal charcuterie board for the planned number of guests

Bottles of water for each quest

Bluetooth speaker

Teepee (weather permitting).

 

Q. Can i order additional food and drinks for my picnic?

A. Yes! We partner with Caviar and Bananas on a special Picnic Charleston Menu. We will coordinate your order and delivery to your picnic location. This additional food is at the guests cost and will be billed at invoice time with final picnic balance 48 hours prior to picnic. You may also order drinks through Caviar and Bananas at your cost. We are not permitted to serve any ALCOHOLIC beverages as we do not have the license to do so.

We also encourage you to review the policy on alcohol for the location of your picnic.

Q. How do you manage food restrictions?

A. We can provide a variety of options for food allergies and dietary restrictions. Just speak with one of our staff when discussing your picnic.

 

Q. Do all of your picnics look the same?

A. No way! We love to switch up the decor and color scheme for each picnic. We want each event to be unique for our clients. We encourage you to visit our IG @picniccharleston to see the variety of decor we offer.

 

Q. for what occasions do you recommend a picnic?

A. Bachelorette/Bridal gathering, date nights, proposals, birthday parties, anniversaries, baby showers, gender reveal, girls night out, retirement, graduation celebrations; We love to host picnics for any occasion!

Q. How much do your picnics cost?

A. We charge a per-person rate. Please see our pricing here. We charge for each person, including children, although there is no charge for babies under 6 months old.

Q. how many people can we have at our picnic?

A. That is up to you! While we have hosted picnics for up to 50, we think staying at 25 guests or below is best.

Q. do i have to pay a deposit to secure my reservation?

A. Yes. In order to secure your picnic date you will pay a deposit equal to 50% of the total cost of your picnic. The remaining balance will be due 48 ours prior to the date of your picnic. If you are scheduling within 48 hours of the picnic date, the full amount will be due at the time of the reservation booking. Payment can be made through Venmo @picniccharleston, via Square, or by PayPal invoice .

Q. what happens if i have to cancel or reschedule my picnic?

A. If you need to cancel your picnic, we will refund 50% of your deposit if cancellation is made at least seven (7) days in advance of your picnic. If you need to cancel with less than seven (7) days’ notice, we will retain your deposit for a future picnic with Picnic Charleston.

If your picnic is on a holiday or holiday weekend , NO refund will be given regardless of the amount of notice.

Q. What if the weather is bad on the date of my picnic?

A. It is important to recognize that our picnics are outdoor activities, and that sometimes means picnics happen with weather that is not absolutely perfect. We are not responsible if during your picnic there is rain, an act of God or animal or insect issues. If weather conditions preclude the picnic such as heavy rain or winds, we will then discuss rescheduling for a different day and time, if we have availability as well as you. We generally do not accept cancellations or requests to reschedule due to temperatures either too hot or too cold. We are also able to move your picnic to your indoor location such as a living room and/or covered porch or patio. We do watch the weather and will be in touch with you of there is a possibility of it affecting your picnic. Flexibility is KEY!
